| Current Work & Next Steps | | | | The Company has recently demonstrated the presence in the mine of a 1.26 million ounce NI 43-101 compliant gold resource (see "Mineral Resources", above), the high grade underground component of which is 1.1 million ounces averaging 5.4 g/t, which the Company is presently focused on developing. As part of this development work, the Company has committed funds to complete, for anticipated delivery by summer’s end, a preliminary economic assessment ("PEA") and is in the process of arranging permitting to allow for dewatering and potential reconditioning of the 1.2 km deep shaft system at Pickle Crow, thereby enabling underground development of these high grade ounces. Going forward, drilling in the core mine trend will be driven largely off the results of the PEA, and will have both near surface and underground components, focused on in-fill drilling designed to lift inferred-level resources into higher confidence categories, resource expansion, and exploration for new zones. At present, surface based exploration drilling is continuing at the promising new near surface Central Pat East discovery, and targets elsewhere on the property, which offer significant resource expansion potential. Modeling of zones such as Powderhouse, not presently included in the property's compliant resouce base, is also underway. | | |
